Got a writer in your life? Give the gift of Grub this holiday season! Our gift guide
has ideas for anyone interested in short fiction, the novel, narrative non-fiction, poetry, screenwriting, playwriting, young adult and children's literature, or seeking advice on their writing career or plans to publish. Every gift supports the literary arts in Boston and beyond.
Whether you live in Wichita or Woolloomooloo, you can take a Grub Street class. Our online classes provide the same supportive community students love in Grub's Boston-based courses---at a time and location that work for you. Read more about our philosophy, learn about the online class experience, and see the full lineup of classes here
Grub is sending out our big end-of-year mailing, and we need your help! We'll be stuffing and sealing close to 4,000 envelopes, so there's plenty of work for all. The fun starts Wednesday, November 4th and continues for the next two weeks (or until we finish). If you're free and would like to help out, please fill out this quick survey
to note your availability.
We're throwing a party with our friends at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum on Thursday, December 19th from 5-9:00pm. Come out for "Word Play," a festive night of literary games, impromptu writing sessions, talks in the galleries, art-making in the studio, and delicious drinks. Grub Street members get a $5 discount. Writers, Readers, Grubbies! What did you accomplish in your writing and reading life this year? We're making a video and we'd like YOU to be in it. Whether you wrote your first blog post, finally read some Proust, joined a writing group, or published something, we are inspired by your achievements. To be included in the video, please take a photo of yourself holding up a sign that details your accomplishment, and upload it using this link
. The deadline to submit: December 15th.
